Getting Older....

I always try and think of something catchy or different to blog about... Today, I chose getting older... I have never thought of myself as old, but lately, I sure have been feeling it.  I had a conversation with my manager the other day and we were discussing getting older.  We are both about the same age and we were talking about different things.  I told her that I didn't feel old, it was just my body... I like to think of each day as a gift.  We are such a privileged nation that we don't have a ruler telling us what to do.  We are a FREE country.  I am thankful that I live in a free nation.  Each day is a gift, live them, love them and share the love....

I'm not getting older, I'm just getting better.  I like to think of myself as a bottle of fine wine...  I am better with age....

  1. I feel ten years younger than I did five years ago! I owe it all to Zumba dance classes which inspired me to eat right and keep exercising. I know my heart is healthy because of dancing. My body feels so much younger, as well as my mind and spirit.

  2. Hello there,

I absolutely love what you have shared with everyone about getting older and what you your take on this is. I wish that more people had this way of thinking. It is so positive and full of a great message that many of us should take something from. I try very hard to be a postive person and try to look at life and what it has to offer in a different light. Aw the light, it is so small at times within this world that can seem so dark. I always tell people that the light is there, even though at times it is hard to find, it is there just keep looking for it. Soon enough it shines brighter then a person can handle and it almost seems like too much, but that feeling is warm, full of love, and makes a person want to live again. I agree so much with you, about aging being like a bottle of fine wine and how it gets better with age. You could not say this any better then how you have. I love working at the hospital and talking with those who have lived much longer then I. What they have to share with a person is amazing and I just love hearing what they have to say and sharing their great knowledge with others. Thank you for what you have shared with us, much needed. :*0)
